Who we are

Fencing Strength ("we", "us") operates fencingstrength.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us — when you sign up for our newsletter, request the free plan, or contact us, you provide your email address and any details you include in your message.
• Analytics data — when you accept cookies, Google Analytics records standard analytics data (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site). This is used to understand how visitors use the site.
• Advertising data — we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising. The Pixel records page views and may match this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. We use this to understand which ads led to a visit and to build audiences for future ads.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:

• Consent preference — we store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.
• Google Analytics — only set after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics runs in consent-denied mode and does not store identifiers.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — used for advertising measurement. You can opt out of personalised advertising via your Facebook ad preferences.
• MailerLite — our newsletter and email tools. Loads on every page so subscription forms work; it does not identify you until you submit a form.

How we use your information

• To send you the free plan, newsletters, or other resources you request.
• To respond to questions you send us by email.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To measure and target our advertising on Meta platforms.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share information with

We share data only with the service providers we use to operate the site:

• Google — for analytics (Google Analytics).
• Meta Platforms — for advertising measurement and audience building (Facebook Pixel).
• MailerLite — for newsletter delivery and email automation.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

Your choices

• Cookies — accept or reject analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. To change your choice later, clear your browser's site data for fencingstrength.com and the banner will reappear.
• Newsletter — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
• Access, correction, deletion — email us at richard@usafencingstrength.com to request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted.

Data retention

We keep newsletter subscriber data until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention setting. Advertising data held by Meta is governed by Meta's own policies.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
