I started fencing when I was 12 in San Antonio, TX. We didn't have any money for private lessons, new equipment, or travel for big tournaments. I had to find a way to stay competitive against my peers.
That's why I leaned into strength and conditioning. My idea was: if I could be faster, stronger, and more conditioned then I would have some competitive edge. It worked well for me, but after becoming a coach at my local club, I realized something.
This works even better for fencers that also have consistent fencing lessons and technique dialed in. My students and clients started winning medals and my in-person roster filled up. That's when I decided to go online because maybe other fencers out there could benefit from this too.
Now, Fencing Strength has grown to nearly 30 athletes with 3 coaches and a full team comprised of all fencers. It truly gives all of us so much fulfillment and purpose to help each other. That is why it is our goal is to be the #1 S&C service for fencers world wide, and we hope you'll join us.
